What is Kalrez®?

Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer is a seal material using the new rubber material that was developed by DuPont Co. It is a excellent seal material with superior chemical resistance like polytetrafluoroethylene and elasticity like rubber at the same time. It is manufactured only by DuPont Performance Elastomers in the world.

It is manufactured only by DuPont Performance Elastomers in the world.

Characteristics of Kalrez®perfluoroelastomer

It resists over most chemicals including even ether, solvent, amine, ketone, oxidant, fuel, acid, alkali. This was not achievable by fluorite rubber. It also has elasticity even under 300℃ . Therefore, you can minimize the stop time during the production and decrease maintenance cost by lowering leakage or damage rate of sealing materials.

has excellent, broad chemical resistance, good mechanical properties, and outstanding hot-air aging properties. 6375 is well suited for mixed process streams because of its excellent resistance to acids, bases, and amines. In addition, it is the suggested compound for use in hot water steam, ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. A maximum service temperature of 275ºC (525ºF) is recommended.
